Dawn Flutter is the second piece in my Windy Day series — a sculptural glass vase shaped as if a strip of fabric were caught and lifted by early morning air. The soft folds and fluttering rim create a sense of motion, while the plaid surface pattern brings the warmth and familiarity of woven cloth.
Its palette echoes the first light of day: lilac, rose, coral, and sky tones blending like a pastel horizon. The subtle fringe along the rim enhances the textile illusion, yet is intentionally kept short to balance the look of fabric with real‑world durability. This edge treatment gives the vase its character without compromising everyday handling.
Each vase in this series shares the same silhouette but expresses a different mood through color. Dawn Flutter feels airy, gentle, and quietly luminous — a moment of dawn captured in glass.
