E-book "Fabric patterns in glass: Tartan"
This is the first book in the series "Fabric patterns in glass". Every book in this series describes various techniques which can be used for imitation of one of fabric patterns. Each technique has its own advantages and level of complexity, so regardless of your experience in glass fusing you may find the project you can do.
This book is dedicated to Tartan - a plaid textile design of Scottish origin that consists of stripes of varying width and color. This simple and attractive pattern may be used in plates, bowls, wall panels, etc. and make them more beautiful. On the other side, glass can add to tartan new visual effects due to the combinations of opaque and transparent glass.
Every project in this book begins with the description of the approach used in the project and continues with a detailed analysis of the real pattern. You learn how to identify basic components, what glass elements to use for their representation, how to estimate their amount and so on. If you understand this with the described patterns, you can do the same with any other tartan.
For each project I included list of materials with the dimensions.
There are 80 pages, more than 60 pictures and illustrations.
