A square decorative fused glass plate "A Joyful way"
This square plate combines transparent teal body and a colorful geometric design aligned along one of diagonals. It looks like colorful stairs surrounded with water. The stairs change their colors from red orange in the center to green blue closer to the corners. In reality the colors in this plate are softer than in the pictures, which adds charm, beauty, and feeling of joy.
I used 200 stringers - thin colorful glass sticks - to make this plate. All these stringers were fused with a clear glass base at 1500F. They are mixed in a special way, and behind a chaotic mixture of colors you may see either colorful squares or intricate zigzags.
The edges of the plate are ground and polished. The plate is food safe, and you may use a dishwasher at your own risk.
