A square decorative fused glass plate "Waltz of Seasons"
All seasonal colors are mixed in this plate. You can feel the atmosphere of festivity which usually comes with every season. Green grass and blue sky in Summer, Yellow and Orange leaves in Autumn, snow on new year trees and ornaments, young green leaves and sparkling streams in Spring... All these colors are dancing waltz on the glance parquet surface of the plate. In reality the colors in this plate are softer than in the pictures, which adds charm and beauty.
I used 300 stringers - thin colorful glass sticks - to make this plate. All these stringers were fused with a clear glass base at 1500F. They are mixed in a special way, and behind a chaotic mixture of colors you may see two planes of squares - one above another. And these squares look like a parquet floor or a skating ring.
The edges of the plate are ground and polished. The plate is food safe and you may use a dishwasher at your own risk.
