Looking at white and blue colors of this vase you obviously think about winter. But look at the top of the vase. It looks like a crown. Yes! It's a crown of the Snow Queen. This is a kingdom of snow and ice. But like in any kingdom, you can also find gold, ruby and emerald. These treasures is a result of mixing various murrine - small glass cylinders with an intricate internal structure. You can feel gems with your fingers because the surface is textured.
The base is heavy and makes the vase steady.
This vase is made using a fused glass drop technique. It was 2 times heated in the kiln up to 1500F. After that much cutting, grinding and polishing was done to make it so beautiful.
