This plate creates different optical 3D illusions depending on the direction you look at it. If you look from one side you may notice that there are 6 square wells opened down the plate's surface. If you look from the opposite side, you see 6 pyramids. This is a result of specially arranged triangles. And more you look, the stronger the illusion. :)
Each triangle is composed of short glass stringers. All these stringers were fused with a clear glass base at 1500F. The surface of the plate was sandblasted so, that it changes from glance in black parts to matt at red edges.
The edges of the plate are ground and polished. The plate is food safe but it's not recommended using a dishwasher.
