If you look at the diamond in the center of this plate, you may notice that there are 9 black-white-redwells opened down the plate's surface. This is a result of optical illusion produced by specially arranged triangles. And more you look, the stronger the illusion. :) So you spend time in these wells.
Each triangle is composed of short glass stringers, All these stringers were fused with a clear glass base at 1500F.
The edges of the plate are ground and polished. The plate is food safe but it's not recommended using a dishwasher.
