This clock is as a symbol of all 4 elements - Earth, Fire, Water and Air - linked together. The top (Orange) part is Fire, the bottom one (Blue) is Water, the purple one in the middle is Earth. And the Air is flowing across all of them. Chevrons figure combines all 4 elements and shows all possible directions of flow.
The clock has a battery powered quartz movement which is very precise. Usually you need to replace batteries only once in 1.5 - 2 years depending on battery type. One AA battery is required.
