Look at this decorative Tartan Basket. Did you think it's a napkin melted in glass? No way! This bowl looks like a piece of fabric and is made of about 400 colorful glass stringers, each of 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) width. All stringers were pulled from molten glass and then crisscrossed and fused together in a kiln at about 1400F. After that I added this free-form shape which makes the bowl looking like a piece of cloth.
The color pattern is based on classic Scottish kilt patterns and brings light and joy to your house.
Despite of your first impression the only fragile part of this bowl is "threads" along the edges.
The bowl is food safe and you can use it for fruits or candies. You can place it on a console in you entryway or in a living room and it will become a central accent attracting sights.
Dimensions: 12 x 12 x 3 inches (30 x 30 x 8 cm)
We ship it carefully packed in two boxes "floating" one into another. The bowl itself is surrounded by Styrofoam chips. That allows it to travel from our store to your house safe.
